Here's What Google Researcher Says...

Yowza!

This is one of the more convoluted company histories I've ever looked at.

I am finding a lot of scattered information on Y2Marketing and its
associated operations. Believe me...this is NOT information you're
going to find on their website.

Google Answers

If you want Google to do more research on Y2Marketing go to the above URL. Do you trust Rich Harshaw or GOOGLE??????? That should answer your "Should I invest my hard earned money with Rich?" question. Check out the Link at the left for the Google research. I refrain from personal character assassination here, because a person would have to have character in the first place.

Testimony From an alleged Former MYM Master Consultant

I am a former MCA of Y2Marketing. Y2Marketing was a real company, but it is not much more than a money making scheme for the principals and a few of their closest employees. I have been to a lot of training in my lifetime and the training Y2Marketing offers is pretty bad. The support they talk about for MCA's is also pretty weak. Although they do have a support organization, it is staffed by amateurs and pretty ineffective. The few companies I've seen use their services for things like website development are terribly disappointed with the results. Far and away most of the company's revenues come from the fees that new MCA's pay to join. To date, with over 1000 MCA's who've joined up, the company has pulled in around $40 million, if not more. Since they are privately held and do not offer any benefits, 401K plans, stock options, etc. to MCA's, most if not all of the profits go to the founders. One cannot believe a word of what they say. It's not that everything is a lie, it's just that you can't tell what is and isn't true because so much of what they say is hyperbole. Most of what they claim to be success stories is simply exaggerated and in some cases probably made up. The claims they make of all the money that MCA's make in their first 12 months is total nonsense. Is it possible to make that much? Sure it is if you get incredibly lucky. Do some make good six-figure incomes? Yes - a very select few. I was one of the few, but gave up because of the ethics of the people at the top. For example, Ed Earle is famous for saying "Fake it until you make it." No kidding. He really believes that is a motto that people should adhere to. To anyone with any business ethics, real-world experience, or with a conscience, it sounds ludicrous. Ed Earle just doesn't get it and likely never will. By far most of the people who signed up and deposited $35K or $40K are either new and don't know better yet; are struggling to justify their investment of time, energy and money; or they've just given up and moved on to other things. The company has NEVER published the names or statistics to back these claims up and they won't because that would either expose the truth, or if they made up numbers it would expose them to litigation. Are there client successes? I've heard of some but I have never seen real, verifiable references given out. They say that references are not handed out because it prevents their clients from being baraged by calls but that simply does not ring true. References are a very common aspect of business and even the highest profile, established companies provide them. Not only that, but satisfied clients would usually be delighted to serve as a reference. The bottom line is that if you are even thinking about becoming an MCA, save your money and do something else. You will be financially further ahead and with less stress.

Excerpts from Article printed in Dallas Morning News, August 10, 2003

"...there is no way that people can become marketing experts in five days - no matter how intense the training is. And as the company trains more agents, competition for clients increases.

Pittsburgh radio host Ron Morris says Y2Marketing makes no attempt to weed out those destined for failure. Since interviewing Mr. Earle in May 2002, he's heard from about 75 "humiliated, angry and embarrassed" agents, many of whom, he says, have spent nearly $100,000 with nothing to show for it.

The Texas attorney general's office has one complaint filed with it seeking a refund from the company, which is incorporated as Millennium2Marketing Inc. There are also 26 complaints for unsolicited faxes.

...Randy Sumrall in Baton Rouge, La., is eight months into the program and has no clients..."There are days when I wonder what I've gotten into," Mr. Sumrall confesses"

Mr. Harshaw says once an agent, always an agent, although about 10 percent are dormant (this is not in the article - but Rich either is misquoted or his lying his ass off because it states in the prospectus that if an MCA does not give Y2Marketing $5,000 a year for two years in a row they are subject to termination-Another way to sucker MCA's and for Y2Marketing to create an eternal revenue stream for Ed - Rich or Ray).

Active and thriving?

Well, that's another answer. Mr. Harshaw says it's the typical business rule, where 20 percent of the agents produce 80 percent of the revenue. Based on that loose math, that means more than 600 agents average about $10,000 apiece in revenue...
END OF ARTICLE

DO YOU REALIZE THAT RICH IS TELLING THE WORLD THAT MORE THAT 600 AGENTS ARE AT THE POVERTY LEVEL!!!THE OTHER PORTION OF THE 800 HUNDRED AT THAT TIME ARE MAKING ZERO!!! (200 HUNDRED). 75% AT THE POVERTY LEVEL, 25% AT ZERO!!!ZILCH!!!NADA!!

Monopolize Your Marketplace Only Makes Rich Harshaw $$rich$$

There are over 1000 Master Consulting Agents that were part of Y2Marketing. The majority of these MCA's (over 96%) have not made enough money using the Y2Marketing system to get their original investment back.
